FAQ

What is MeMD?

MeMD is the most affordable, convenient way to resolve routine medical conditions. Our unique, secure, technology makes healthcare accessible on your terms, whenever you need it. Our providers are available to meet your healthcare needs at a price which is below most co-pays.

When should I use MeMD?

Use MeMD any time you have a non-emergency condition and are unable to get in to see your primary care provider or when you prefer a convenient cost effective alternative to the emergency department, urgent care or retail clinic.  If you are experiencing a medical condition and need some advice on what to do, a MeMD provider can help you navigate the healthcare system.

Who are your medical providers?

Our providers are licensed urgent care providers who specialize in diagnosing and treating common conditions. They have incorporated MeMD into their practice because they want to provide a cost-effective alternative to traditional care settings. Our physicians are typically board certified in family medicine, internal medicine or emergency medicine.  They are credentialed by the urgent care centers who employ them and are licensed and practicing in the state you reside.

Who are your mental health providers?

Our mental health professionals are Ph.D’s who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of common mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, insomnia, relationship concerns, addictions, ADHD, and behavioral issues.  They treat you in the comfort and privacy of your own home using our HIPAA secure technology.

How much does MeMD cost?

The cost to use MeMD is $39.95. We have purposely kept this amount lower than most co-pays. If your employer offers MeMD as a benefit, the amount you pay will be much lower. As an employer, you can keep your health costs down and your absenteeism lower by getting your employees and their dependants the care they need, when they need it.

A mental health consultation is $158 for an hour appointment and $79 for a thirty minute appointment.

Does my insurance cover MeMD?

How can my company offer MeMD to their employees?

MeMD was started to address this startling fact: 73% of Americans cannot get in to see their primary care physician for routine medical conditions. The only choice they have is going to a retail clinic, urgent care center or emergency department. There, they may spend a significant amount of time waiting to be seen for a relatively benign medical condition.

MeMD offers employers, unions, health plans, benefits managers and distribution partners a creative solution to this endemic problem.
