What We Prescribe

After your webcam-enabled consultation, your healthcare provider will prescribe you medication (if needed) as well as care instructions which provide detailed information regarding your treatment and diagnosis.

Your prescription will be sent to the pharmacy of your choice electronically and you will receive a copy of the exam for your medical records.

Please note, MeMD providers do not prescribe or renew prescriptions for controlled substances regulated by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency or drugs considered to be “lifestyle” medications, such as medications to treat erectile dysfunction, hair loss and obesity.  Review the DEA Controlled Substances Schedules if you are interested in a particular prescription and are uncertain if it is listed as a controlled substance.
