Eligibility Specialist

Location: Scottsdale, Arizona

Reports To: Operations Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Eligibility Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for our clients as it relates to the processing and guidance of all eligibility data by managing client eligibility in a variety of formats, (xls,xlsx, txt, csv, 834). Monthly, the Eligibility Specialist will assist in invoicing to ensure accurate eligibility is invoiced for – as well as track status of invoices to ensure timely processing and finalization. On a monthly and quarterly basis, the Eligibility Specialist will buildout internal and external reports based from invoicing information and utilization data.

  • Acts as the primary point of contact for clients relating to eligibility
  • Proactively works to identify problems and offer solutions when troubleshooting to resolve eligibility issues
  • Takes a hands-on approach to establish systematic processes and procedures that will reduce or eliminate errors
  • Coordinate with sales team as well as other departments to complete ad-hoc or regular report deliverables
  • Works in conjunction with various team members to resolve errors and issues in a timely and accurate manner; escalates programmatic issues to team members as appropriate
  • Handle additional related projects as assigned, including inventory discrepancies
  • Verify client information, current contract details, and billing requirements to avoid discrepancies
  • Act as a liaison among multiple departments to ensure each team has the data they need to do their job efficiently

Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience—preferably in customer service & eligibility management—with demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office, analytics, and client relations. Bachelor’s Degree required.

  • Ability to think of new ways to analyze or report on performance improvement
  • Utilize broad knowledge to recommend solutions to the client when appropriate
  • Understand client business issues and concerns and recommend and implement appropriate solutions
  • Use problem-solving and follow-up skills that allow you to identify potential or existing problems and implement confident, thoughtful, and effective solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and apply basic concepts in new situations
  • Organizational skills including the ability to multi-task, set priorities, and follow up in a timely manner
  • Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment as well as work independently and make sound decisions
