Convenient Healthcare – No Longer an Oxymoron

The Pulse of Telehealth - Weekly posts discussing the benefits of telehealth for medical providers. Convenience is now a desirable, regularly expected, part of our everyday lives. However, this word hasn’t always been associated with healthcare. It is often unattainable in medical settings, making medical providers (and their patients) frustrated. With so much going on, wouldn’t it be nice to see patients whenever, and wherever you want? Convenient Healthcare - No Longer an OxymoronOne of the most exciting benefits of E-healthcare is the ease and accessibility available to medical providers. Being able to communicate face-to-face on a computer, tablet, or smartphone increases the number of patients a provider can see every day, any time they want! Whether in between appointments at the office or spending time with loved ones at home, telehealth makes patient consultations readily available. Some telehealth companies have even eliminated the need to involve insurance companies with billing, making the service beneficial to every type of patient, especially those without affordable access to healthcare. The use of electronic medical records (EMRs) has rapidly increased in the healthcare field. E-healthcare is no exception; for example, most clinic EMRs are compatible with MeMD’s patient chart structure. Any chart can be downloaded in PDF or CCD (Continuation of Care Document) format. This is not only expedient for providers; it also improves the quality of the consultation process, while allowing for confidential coordination of patient care among different providers. The goal of telemedicine is to create an experience that closely resembles an in-person appointment. It removes the undesirable aspects of these visits and leaves you with a pleasant telehealth consultation- making you, and your patients, happy! Devon-Telehealth-Pulse-Blurb
